personal apple pies!

This post it for Cam -

I've made these now 3 different times and they've been such a hit everytime! Warm little apple pies with vanilla ice cream. Such a great southern dessert!

All you need is ...
  • 2 granny smith apples
  • half stick butter (if even)
  • cinnamon
  • sugar
  • pillsbury pie crust
  • vanilla ice cream
pre heat your oven to 350 & get out a muffin pan

dice your apples put them to the side in a bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar with 1/4 cup cinnamon in a different bowl.

The pillsbury pie crust come 2 to a pack so roll out your first one and use a cup that is little bigger than your muffin pan circle and cut out circles using the top of your glass cup. Once you have all your circles - this part is optional - I like to use the rest of the dough to make the basket weave for the tops of my little pies.

gently press your circles into the muffin spots and fill all your pies half way with apples, then spoon in your cinnamon/sugar mixture and put just a little sliver of butter on top. Then fill the pies the rest of the way with your apples (the apples cook down so go a head and fill 'em up!) Finally if you made little tops go a head and place them on.

Cook for 20 minutes and top your vanilla ice cream with any remaining cinnamon/sugar goodness and voila!
