The end of our lease is rapidly approaching, how has a year gone by already?! July 11th 2009 was ‘Move In Day’ last summer. It was so exciting and SO HOT. We had amazing friends and family to help move us in. Fresh out of college, ready for DC city life – that was me. This first year has been truly wonderful and I am looking forward to my second year as a DC citizen!

We will not be renewing our lease but instead adding another wonderful friend to our crazy household. Our good friend, Leigh, from UNCW is going to be starting Grad School at Gallaudet University for Deaf Education in the fall. The house hunt is coming along slow, I suppose. It is tricky up here because the rental listings are posted and looking for renters to start renting immediately, so you can only start so early with your searching. We are hoping to stay in the Capitol Hill area (where we live now) but are also open to other locals in DC. We’re actually going to an open house for a place in Georgetown this Sunday. Keep your fingers crossed & send up some prayers please!
